Summary:A driver electronics is provided for powering a light engine including light emitting diodes (LEDs). The driver electronics arrangement includes at least two drivers that alternate power to a light engine. By alternating between the two drivers to power the light engine, the service life of the luminaire is increased. In one embodiment, the driver electronics includes at least two drivers, a light engine and a control relay block. The control relay block controls the at least two drivers so that only one of the drivers is powering the light engine at a time.
