Summary:An augmented reality device engages in a mutual exchange of negotiated services with another device with a signal determined to have exhibited an area transition effect. The augmented reality device identifies, from a plurality of signals in the ambient environment, a subset of signals that have exhibited the area transition effect. From among the subset, the device identifies a signal that is indicative of support for the negotiation protocol. The negotiation is conducted with a second device associated with the corresponding signal.
