Abstract An assembly system suitable for positioning and assembling an underwater foundation, including at least one leg and a brace of the underwater foundation, a distance and angle measuring device and a computer analysis system. The at least one leg of the underwater foundation is equipped with at least one connector to connect the brace. The distance and angle measuring device is configured to measure the at least one leg, the brace and the at least one connector to obtain a relative position information, a first port point and a second port point. The computer analysis system is electrically connected to the distance and angle measurement device and is configured to receive the relative position information to build a three-dimensional space model; to fit the first port point of the connector and the second port point of the brace to each other based on the three-dimensional space model; to calculate a joining distance between the connector and the brace based on the first port point and the second port point.
