Abstract The present invention addresses the problem of providing an encapsulating material for display elements that not only sufficiently encapsulates display elements but is also less likely to produce uneven streaks after encapsulation. The encapsulating material for display elements that solves the problem comprises (A) an aliphatic (meth)acrylic monomer, (B) an azo-based polymerization initiator, (C) a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine 1-oxyl free radical derivative, and (D) a silane coupling agent having a (meth)acrylic group and a weight-average molecular weight of 400-500,000. The glass transition temperature determined after 30 minutes of heating at 100˚C is ≥46˚C.
