Summary:An automatized method for certifying compatibility for an operating system and a system for performing the method are provided. The system provides an execution computer which is used to perform an operating-system compatibility certification program that embodies an emulator of a specific operating system in the execution computer. The system also provides one version of compiled software program in a device under test. In the execution computer, an automatic filtering procedure is performed on the software program. The automatic filtering procedure includes any or multiple of a booting test, a chip-performance test, a video playback test, a power on-off test and a sub plan test. If the software program fails to pass the automatic filtering procedure, the procedure of compatibility certification test exits. If the software program passes the automatic filtering procedure, the compatibility certification test is performed. A test result is produced.
