Abstract An optical mechanism includes a base, a fixed barrel, a straight move barrel, a cam barrel and at least one lens frame. The fixed barrel is fixed to the base and has only one guide groove extending axially on an inner periphery thereof. The cam barrel is rotatably disposed on the fixed barrel. The lens frame bearing a lens group is disposed within the cam barrel. The lens frame is axially moved by rotation of the cam barrel and restrain of the straight move barrel. The straight move barrel has a pin movably engaging the guiding groove and at least one block abutting the fixed barrel when the straight move barrel moves to the top of the fixed barrel.
