Summary: | This invention relates to a washing machine having a slide member. The slide member switches the transmission of rotation of a driving motor to either one of the dehydration shaft and the wash shaft by virtue of the upward and downward sliding of the slide member. An upper projection portion is formed on the upper portion of the slide member. A stationary side engaging member is provided on a retaining member. The stationary side engaging member has a stationary side projection portion engaging with the upper projection. The stationary side engaging member is formed by a resin molding having a reinforcement member enclosed therein. Whereby, the abnormal sound of the collision sound and the like produced when switching to the washing mode, or when the washing is performed, etc, can be minimized, thereby achieving low noise. |
