Abstract | A method of producing the spherical precursor containing lithium ions as cathode material for lithium-ion battery, which includes the following steps: Measuring the weight of more than one of metal salts containing lithium ions and acid radicals with a predetermined ratio, and thoroughly mixing with water to form the aqueous metal salt solution containing lithium ions. Pumping the aqueous metal salt solution containing lithium ions into the roasting reactor chamber, and spraying to form spherical liquid drops whose diameter is between 0.1[mu]m and 15[mu]m. Heating up the roasting reactor chamber by a burner to provide hot air whose temperature is between 300 Celsius and 1000 Celsius. The aqueous metal salt solution containing lithium ions was sprayed to form spherical liquid drops and was pumped into a roasting reactor chamber for complete reaction with hot air so as to generate the pyrolysis effect of acid radicals in the metal salt.
