Summary:The invention proceeds from an optical system comprising a light source (10) and an optical element (30) for generating a focal point (35). The heart of the invention consists in the fact that the optical system comprises a deformable mirror membrane (40), which is configured in such a way that the focal point (35) is displaceable relative to the optical system (30) along a light propagation direction. The invention also relates to a particle sensor comprising such an optical system and a light detector (20), wherein the particle sensor is configured for detecting particles at the displaceable focal point (35).
