Abstract | Disclosed is a purification method for removing yttrium from europium oxide containing yttrium, which includes the steps of: (A) providing europium oxide containing yttrium and dissolving the same in a solvent, thereby obtaining a saturated europium compound solution containing yttrium; (B) performing a recrystallization process at low temperature on the saturated europium compound solution containing yttrium, thereby obtaining a precipitate containing yttrium; (C) performing a calcination process on the precipitate containing yttrium and dissolving the same in an inorganic acid, thereby obtaining an electrolyte containing yttrium; and (D) performing an electrochemical reduction on the electrolyte containing yttrium and adding a precipitating agent so as to obtain a yttrium compound. Accordingly, the disclosed method is able to remove yttrium from europium oxide containing yttrium in phosphor, so as to purify the europium oxide, thereby achieving the purposes of recycling and purifying the valuable europium f |
