Abstract This invention provides a forming mold which has excellent mold releasing and antifouling properties, and is less likely to cause cracks or gaps. The forming mold is used to mold shaped product, characterizing in that it includes: a substrate 10 made of metal, and a ceramic layer 20 which is provided on the substrate 10 to make contact with the shaped product and contains yttrium oxide, nitrogen and cations of 4A group elements. The said forming mold can also include an intermediate layer 30 located between the substrate 10 and the ceramic layer 20. The hardness of the intermediate layer 30 is higher than that of the substrate 10, and its toughness is higher than that of the ceramic layer 20.
