Abstract A voltage generator and a voltage generating method with wide dynamic range are provided. The voltage generator includes a transformer, a switching-transistor circuit, a rectification circuit, an adjustable voltage-divider circuit and a feedback circuit. The switching-transistor circuit switches a primary winding voltage of the transformer by using a source voltage according to a modulation signal. Input of the rectification circuit is coupled to a secondary winding of the transformer. Output of the rectification circuit provides a target voltage. Input of the adjustable voltage-divider circuit is coupled to output of the rectification circuit. Output of the adjustable voltage-divider circuit provides a feedback voltage. Dividing ratio of the adjustable voltage-divider circuit is controlled by a control signal. Input of the feedback circuit is coupled to output of the adjustable voltage-divider circuit.
