Abstract A wind power excitation synchronous generation system and a control method thereof are disclosed. In the present invention, after combining the wind power source and the synchronous motor, the excitation synchronous generator is driven by a stable power source input with speed and phase control. The excitation synchronous generator output power can incorporate with the utility bus by detecting the frequency, phase of the utility bus. Furthermore, the excitation synchronous generator output a maximum power by output power feedback control and excitation current control structure. The proposed control method of excitation synchronous generator for maximum power tracking in wind turbine application can be utilized in every power generation system field such as wind power, waterpower, firepower, and tidal power. The power generation system applying the proposed method can achieve the maximum power output and electricity incorporation objectives.
