A device and method for processing abnormal situation in a production line having plural work stations is described. A fixture bears an article and changes the shape according to the article. A carrier carries the fixture transmitted by the production line. Pluralities of abnormal modules are installed on the carrier. Each of inspection modules arranged on each work station produces a physical characteristic corresponding to the abnormal module when the abnormal situation happens, and automatically distributes the carrier to one of the abnormal areas according to the physical characteristic.
