Summary:DNA sequences optimised for expression in plants are disclosed. The DNA sequences preferably encode for an insecticidal polypeptides, particularly insecticidal proteins from Bacillus thuringiensis. Plant promoters, particular tissue-specific and tissue-preferred promoters are also provided. Additionally disclosed are transformation vectors comprising said DNA sequences. The transformation vectors demonstrate high levels of insecticidal activity when transformed into maize. Opisujú sa sekvencie DNA optimalizované na expresiu v rastlinách. Tieto sekvencie DNA výhodne kódujú insekticídne polypeptidy, najmä insekticídne proteíny z Bacillus thuringiensis. Opisujú sa tiež rastlinné promótory, najmä tkanivovo špecifické a tkanivovo preferované promótory, a transformačné vektory obsahujúce uvedené sekvencie DNA. Tieto transformačné vektory majú, ak sa transformujú do kukurice, vysokú úroveň insekticídnej aktivity.ŕ
