Abstract A cloths dryer includes a drying chamber for accommodating therein cloths and heat exchange unit 31 having heat absorber 30 and heat radiator 32. Heat absorber 30 has first air inlet surface 30a for introducing a drying air therethrough and first air outlet surface 30b through which an air passing through first air inlet surface 30a is discharged to outside of heat absorber 30 and heat radiator 32 has second air inlet surface 32a for introducing the air from heat absorber 30 therethrough and second air outlet surface 32b through which an air passing through second air inlet surface 32a is discharged to outside of the heat radiator 32, first air outlet surface 30b of heat absorber 30 facing second air inlet surface 32a of heat radiator 32 in heat exchange unit 31 at an acute angle therebetween. The drying air flows from first air inlet surface 30a of heat absorber 30 to first air outlet surface 30b thereof, and from second air inlet surface 32a of heat radiator 32 to second air outlet surface 32b thereof and, then, the drying air out of heat radiator 32 approximately horizontally flows along horizontal air duct 31a formed above heat absorber 30 and heat radiator 32.
