Summary:Digital information can be applied to a data transfer station from a first memory by means of a first read-out device. The information read is temporarily stored in a second memory. When the second memory reaches a first degree of filling in the upwards direction, the first read-out device is blocked after a given delay. When the second memory in its turn has output information elements, so that a second degree of filling is signalled, the first read out device is unblocked after a given delay. The second memory is serially organized. In as far as the said degrees of filling are not determined, at least the minimum value of the first degree of filling is equal to (or higher, than) the maximum value of the second degree of filling. Notably the delay incurred upon blocking can be caused by the run-out time of a mechanical device, by information delay times or in that the blocking of the transfer per se implies a number of delaying procedure steps.
