Summary:Moulding press for the production of moulded bodies 3' from cellulose fibre fabric, preferably lignocellulose fibre fabric, by stepwise processing with tools 1, 2 whose shaping surfaces consist of a plurality of partial surfaces 1, 1', 1" which can move relative to each other. The partial shaping surfaces on at least one half of the tool act on at least one elastically deformable band 4, 4' and the shaping forces are transmitted to the fibre fabric by this band. The band reduces the local strain differences in the fibre fabric, improves the total temperature conduction during the shaping process, shortens the overall pressing time, and prevents fouling between tool parts 1, 1', 1". The band can move in steps so as to avoid local wear and thus can be used at the same time as a conveyor belt 4'.
