FIELD: medicine, endocrinology, pharmacy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drugs and concerns a synergetic pharmaceutical composition comprising the following components: (a) the first pharmaceutical composition containing antidiabetic active component chosen from group consisting of insulin, metformin and glyburide, or antihyperlipidemic active component chosen from group consisting of lovastatin and simvastatin, and one or more standard carriers, and (b) the second pharmaceutical composition comprising O-(3-piperidino-2-hydroxy-1-propyl)-nicotinamidoxime or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt and one or more standard carriers. Proposed pharmaceutical composition is useful for prophylaxis or treatment of insulin-resistance, metabolic X-syndrome or diabetes mellitus of type 2.
