Abstract | FIELD: materials at low temperature linear expansion coefficients for operation under considerable thermal loading. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed material is used as refractory articles, parts for internal combustion engines, catalyst carriers in exhaust gas after-burning units, filters of diesel engines and precision units characterized by constant volume within wide range of temperatures. Proposed high-temperature material is given in solid solution at formula MgxAl2(1-x)Ti(1+x)O5 where 0.1<x<0.6. Method of production of such materials includes mixing the components, briquetting and obtaining the material in form of solid solution at formula MgxAl2(1-x)Ti(1+x)O5 where 0.1<x<0.6 by solid-phase synthesis during 2 h at 1600±20°C at temperature rise rate of 10°C/min from aluminum titanate Al2TiO5 and magnesium dititanate MgTi2O5 taken at mass ratio of (42-91) :(58-9), respectively.
