Abstract manufacture of engines; control of quality of fuel-and-air mixture for internal combustion engine at external ignition source, form spark plug, for example. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has hollow housing with modified indicator spark plug located inside it and provided with transparent port, optical filter and photosensitive element connected to measuring unit including pulse shaping module and indicator, indicator plug is provided with quartz glass for transmission of ultraviolet radiation. Optical filter has spectral transmission band of wave lengths of 306 to 340 nm. Output of pulse shaping module of measuring unit is connected with input of pulse amplitude storage module whose output is connected to indicator. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis; enhanced efficiency of regulation of fuel-and-air mixture quality. 2 cl, 2 dwg
