Summary: | orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: corset has flexible sine-shaped base with loop-and-hook fasteners attached to its ends so as to form closed tube in operating position. Base has symmetrically cut flat face, nape sine-shaped members and layers of soft material which are attached to sine- shaped members so that they extend beyond flexible base. Shape of sine parts forming edges of face member is such that in operating position of corset they provide thrusting of mid portion of face member into individual's chin and jugular fossa, and edges thrust into shoulders. Shape of sine parts defining edges of nape member is such that in operating position corset thrusts with mid portion of nape member into nape tuber and into vertebral column in the vicinity of seventh cervical vertebra. Corset is formed of separate sections connected one with the other through flat vertical pivot joints or by flexible adhesion. Corset of such construction provides reliable fixation of injured individual's head and vertebral column cervical region during transportation. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 4 dwg |
