Abstract | FIELD: felling and wood-working equipment. SUBSTANCE: feed roll has drive shaft, flange disks, as well as flexible rim and pulling members, which are positioned concentrically with respect to shaft. Rim is made from metal rod or plate defining rim outline surfaces by datum helix. Rod ends are connected with related flange disks. Longitudinal working surface of rod is defined by succession of alternating slots and ridges. Slots are filled with elastomeric material, with thickness of material being equal to or in the vicinity of ridge height. Displacement of tree trunk is initiated by compression of elastomeric material and penetration of pulling members into trunk, which results in longitudinal motion of tree trunk. EFFECT: reduced dynamism of objects displacement process, increased pulling and engaging characteristics, simplified construction and reduced usage of metal. 5 cl, 17 dwgd |
