Abstract | FIELD: optical instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on law of reflection from interface surfaces of media having different refractive indices. Use of mirror or hollow cylinder filled with material having refractive index of more that 1 as refractive element makes it possible to obtain once only a set of delays (determined also by output time difference), the relation of which is any (whole or fractional) rational number, in preset areas with centers on cylinder generating line. This can be obtained when pulse monochromatic light flux quasihomocentric relative to cylinder generating line in plane having angle B with its axis and quasiparallel in orthogonal plane is introduced into cylinder.
