The invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation with antimicrobial effect and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the preparation consists of metal complexes of cyclohexidine with metal ions of Cu(II), Zn(II), Ag(I), 90...100% gel of 2% or 4% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, sorbitol, mint essential oil, EDTA Naand an ester mixture, presented as a translucent homogeneous mass. The process claimed by the invention consists in weighing the starting materials, preparing the hydroxypropylmethylcellulose hydrogel, dispersing the cyclohexidine metal complexes, embedding the mint oil, followed by the control and conditioning of the final product. Invenţia se referă la un preparat farmaceutic cu acţiune antimicrobiană şi la un procedeu pentru obţinerea acestuia. Preparatul conform invenţiei este constituit din complecşi metalici ai ciclohexidinei cu ioni metalici de Cu(II), Zn (II), Ag (I), 90...100% gel 2% sau 4% de hidroxipropilmetilceluloză, sorbitol, ulei volatil de mentă, EDTANaşi amestec de esteri, care se prezintă sub formă de masă translucidă şi omogenă. Procedeul conform invenţiei constă din cântărirea materiilor prime, obţinerea hidrogelului de hidroxipropilmetilceluloză, dispersarea complecşilor metalici ai ciclohexidinei, încorporarea uleiului de mentă, controlul şi condiţionarea produsului finit.
