Summary:It is here described a new recombinant myxoma virus deposited in the CNCM with deposit number I-1990, that contains within its genome a nucleotide sequence capable of expressing the antigen protein VP60 of the rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, which is attenuated and exhibits a controlled transmission capacity, as well as the combined anti-myxomatosis and anti-RHDV vaccines - self-propagating in a controlled manner - obtained from the aforesaid virus. Also described, is a method for obtaining attenuated recombinant myxoma virus useful in the preparation of self-propagating combined vaccines against myxomatosis and other infectious diseases of leporids.
