Abstract | The apparatus for storing electrical energy, comprises material A an alkali metal and material S sulfur, and two outer containers containing containers BA and BS joined by a solid electrolyte E. The materials A and S are contained separately from one another in a respective container BA and BS. The containers are arranged one above the other. The containers BA and BS are joined by the solid electrolyte E, which is permeable to cations. The containers BA and BS are contained in an outer container. The containers BA and BS are arranged one above the other as pair of barrels. The apparatus for storing electrical energy by materials A and S that form a redox couple, comprises the materials A and S, and two outer containers containing containers BA and BS joined by a solid electrolyte E. The materials A and S are contained separately from one another in a respective container BA and BS. The containers are arranged one above the other.
