Summary: | The process of producing organic animal feeds from banana peelings comprising the steps of: boiling the water in the kettle, putting the banana peelings in the boiling water for 5 minutes, removing of banana peelings from the kettle and putting them in the strainer, straining the boiled banana peelings, cooling of the boiled and strained banana peelings, grinding the boiled banana peelings, adding of calamansi juice to the ground banana peelings to prevent darkening of the said banana peelings, toasting of horse radish leaves and ipil-ipil leaves in an oven at a predetermined temperature; pulverizing of the toasted horse radish leaves and ipil-ipil leaves; adding corn bran and flour to the pulverized horse radish leaves and ipil-ipil leaves; adding and mixing of raw eggs and oil in the mixture of toasted leaves and flour; formulating a dough by mixing the ground banana peelings into the mixture of toasted leaves, corn bran, flour, egg and oil; making the dough into pellets by extruding in an electric meat grinder; and drying the pellets in an oven at a predetermined temperature or under the sun. |
