Summary:Disclosed is an apparatus for therapeutic delivery of a flow of air to a patient's airways using CPAP or positive air pressure and combined with supplemental oxygen therapy. The apparatus has a flow generator apparatus adapted to couple with a patient interface or mask for delivery of the flow of air to a patient. One or more sensors are configured to determine a pressure of the air and a volumetric flow rate of the air; and one or more controllers coupled with the flow generator apparatus and the one or more sensors. The controllers are configured to control a dual therapy by operating with a first control loop configured to control the flow generator apparatus to provide the pressure of the air at a therapy pressure; and a second control loop configured to control the flow generator apparatus to provide the flow rate of the air at a therapy flow rate.
