Abstract Innretning for å detektere motstan- den i geologiske formasjoner rundt et borehull, omfatter et rørformet legeme (1) som er tilpasset til å danne en del av en lengde av borestreng. En antenne (10) er montert inne i legemet (1), og legemet (1) har åpninger (2) nær anten- nen (10) for å tillate, et elektromag- netisk signal å passere gjennom legemet (1) etter sending fra, eller for å mot- tas av, antennen (10). Apparatus for sensing the resistivity of geological formations surrounding a borehole includes a tubular body member (1) which is adapted to form a portion of a length of drill string. An antenna (10) is mounted within the body member (1) and the body member (1) has apertures (2) adjacent to the antenna (10) to permit an electro-magnetic signal to pass through the body member (1) after transmission from, or for reception by, the antenna (10).
