Abstract | Fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av duktilt støpejern og midel til utførelse av fremgangsmåten.
1415697 Making S G iron UNITED STATES PIPE & FOUNDRY CO 5 Oct 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 24252/75 Divided out of 1415696 Heading C7D An additive for spheroidizing graphite in cast iron contains at least two of Mg, Ce, Y, La, Nd and Pr, each forming not more than 3 wt per cent of the composition and their total content not exceeding 12%; if the composition does not contain at least 1% Mg no other spheroidizing element shall be present in less than 1%, while Mg, if present, must be in the form of a Fe-Si-Mg alloy when the balance of the composition is Fe-Si alloy. Preferably all spheroidizing agents are present as Fe-Si alloys, while in a particular embodiment the additive comprises one Fe-Si alloy containing 1-3% Mg but no other spheroidizing agent, and a second Fe-Si alloy containing one or more other spheroidizing agents.
