Abstract | 1460185 Zirconium base alloys ATOMENERGI SWEDEN AB ATOMENERGIKOMMISSIONEN DENMARK INSTITUTT FOR ATOMENERGI NORWAY UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY and VALTION TEKNILLINEN TUTKIMUSKESKUS 9 July 1974 [9 July 1973] 30407/74 Heading C7A Zirconium base alloy comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities, such as 0À02-0À05% Fe, being Zr. Exemplified fabrication process comprises; soaking at 1000-1050C upsetting at 950C, soaking at 1000-1050C forgeing at 950C soaking at 1000-1050C and water quenching. Then (1) for making bar stock the alloy is soaked at 750C, hot-rolled with intermediate heating to 750C, ground pickled and annealed at 675C; (2) for sheet, soaked as above forged at 750C with intermediate heating and cold-rolled with intermediate heating at 675C; and (3) for tubes the billet is clad with copper, extruded at 750C declad, rolled at 675C and finally annealed at 600C. |
