Summary: | This invention relates to a DC motor applied in ceiling fans. The DC motor comprises a stator (1) having a plurality of windings (8); and a rotor assembly (7) fitted around an outer circumferential side of the stator (1). The rotor assembly (7) consists of permanent magnets (3); a rotor yoke (2) having an upper surface bored with a plurality of primary apertures (14); and a magnet holder (4) positioned within the inner space of the rotor yoke (2) and surrounding the stator (1). The magnet holder (4) has a band (16) with multiple spaced apart ribs (11) upwardly extending from the band, whereby each permanent magnet (3) is retained in between adjacent ribs (11) of the magnet holder (4). One or more top surfaces of the ribs (11) are respectively provided with an upwardly protruding hollow component (12) for receiving fasteners inserted thereinto through the primary apertures (14) for mounting the holder (4) to the rotor yoke (2). |
