Summary:The present invention relates to a soil pallet (100) for retaining water inside a planting pot (300) or like comprising a mixture of: compost soil; clay; characterised in that the mixture of compost soil and clay is added with carrageenan powder from Eucheuma cottonii, the ratio of mixture of the compost soil, clay, and carrageenan powder is 3:2:l respectively , wherein the mixture is bonded and formed to pallets by way of adding water into the mixture, the mixture is put at the pot bed in which the pot (300) is filled with compost soil and sugarcane wastes mixture (200). The present innovation provides water retaining capabilities inside the pot (300).
