Abstract | The solid insulation transformer (10) has a rectangular core (12) covered with a compressible closed-cell foam to eliminate stress during curing of the cast dielectric material (18) surrounding the core (12) and during operation. Heat pipes (22) are placed between the inner coil and the core to extract heat before the temperature buids up. For safety and to eliminate the need for a separate enclosure, an outer multi-layer casing (16) having an incorporated grounded conductive layer is provided to cover the sides of the cast body (18). The outer casing prevents explosion if dielectric break down and arcing occur, and reduces the danger of electric shock.
El transformador de aislamiento solido (10) tiene un nucleo rectangular (12) cubierto con una espuma de celda cerrada compresible para eliminar la tension durante la curacion de material dieléctrico colado (18) circundando el nucleo (12) y durante la operacion. Las tuberías de calor (22) están colocadas entre el devanado y el nucleo para extraer el calor antes de que se acumule la temperatura. Por seguridad y para eliminar la necesidad de un recinto cerrado, una envoltura de capas multiples (16) que tiene una capa conductora aterrizada incorporada está provista para cubrir los lados del cuerpo colado (18). La envoltura evita la explosion si el dieléctrico falla y ocurre la formacion de arco y reduce el peligro de choque eléctrico. |
