Abstract | The present invention relates to a ferrofluid, comprising iron oxide nanoparticles coated with tetrahydroxyquinone of a diameter less than 15 nm, good power absorption when irradiated with alternating magnetic fields, high saturation magnetization, good stability colloidal, suitable for magnetic hyperthermia treatments for cancer, very low cytotoxicity, aiding reducing side effects in a magnetic hyperthermia treatment by not producing reactive oxygen species, avoiding producing oxidation in highly oxidizable media, high potency absorption, and aiding eliminating cancer cells more quickly and effectively by combining the anti-keloid effect of tetrahydroxyquinone and magnetic hyperthermia.
La presente invención se refiere a un ferrofluido que comprende nanopartículas de óxido de hierro cubiertas con tetrahidroxiquinona, cuyas nanopartículas tengan un diámetro menor a 15 nm, una buena absorción de potencia al irradiarse con campos magnéticos alternos, una elevada magnetización de saturación, una buena estabilidad coloidal, que sea adecuado para tratamientos para cáncer por hipertermia magnética, que tenga una citotoxicidad muy baja, que ayude a disminuir los efectos secundarios en un tratamiento de hipertermia magnética al no producir especies reactivas de oxígeno, que no produzca oxidación en medios altamente oxidables como el compuesto azul de metileno, que su alta absorción de potencia ayude a eliminar las células cancerígenas más rápida y eficazmente combinando el efecto anti-queloides de la tetrahidroxiquinona y la hipertermia magnética. |
