Summary:A reforming reactor and process of using same in which the process gas is effectively and efficiently distributed through the non-reactive zone. The non-reactive zone has two portions, a first portion receiving a purge gas and having an outlet for an effluent from a reactive zone disposed beneath the non-reactive zone and a second portion receiving the feed and having an inlet. The inlet is located between the reaction zone and the outlet. A flow distributor separates the non-reactive zone into the two portions. Un reactor de reformado y un proceso de uso de este en el que el gas de proceso se distribuye eficaz y eficientemente a través de la zona no reactiva. La zona no reactiva tiene dos porciones, una primera porción que recibe un gas de purga y que tiene una salida para un efluente desde una zona reactiva dispuesta debajo de la zona no reactiva y una segunda porción que recibe la alimentación y que tiene una entrada. La entrada está ubicada entre la zona de reacción y la salida. Un distribuidor de flujo separa la zona no reactiva en las dos porciones.
