Summary:The present invention relates to a method for obtaining Carminic Acid from Dactylopius Coccus by microwave-assisted extraction from the grana cochineal insect (Dactylopius Coccus C.) with a wide application in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and handicraft industries. Herein, the methods used for its extraction rely on conventional methods, which generate high energy, labor, and waste consumption. The present invention aims to provide an alternative method for obtaining carminic acid from Dactylopius coccus to improve efficiency. La presente invención se refiere a un método para obtención de ácido carmínico de Dactylopius coccus mediante extracción asistida por microondas. Este colorante natural proviene del insecto grana cochinilla (Dactylopius coccus C.) y tiene una amplia aplicación en la industria alimenticia, farmacéutica, cosmética y artesanal; no obstante, los métodos empleados para su extracción se basan en métodos convencionales en donde se manejan diversas operaciones que generan alto consumo de energía, mano de obra y residuos. Por lo que la presente invención provee un método alternativo para obtención de ácido carmínico de Dactylopius coccus que permita mejorar la eficiencia.
