Abstract | A device for use in dialysis includes an elongated tubular body having a first end, a second end, and a lumen extending between the first end and the second end, and a first UV source coupled to the elongated tubular body at the second end, wherein the first UV source is configured to direct UV light for sterilizing at least a part of the elongated tubular body, wherein the second end of the elongated tubular body includes an opening in fluid communication with the lumen of the elongated tubular body, and a cover, the cover positionable at a first location to close the opening and at a second location to unblock the opening.
