Summary:An apparatus for multisegment recording/reproducing of compressed digital video signal performs tracking control by a tracking controller, and detects a reproduced position in one group unit of a video signal reproduced by a reproduced position detector. A phase difference of the reproduced position and a reference signal is detected by a relative phase detector. According to this phase difference, a delay time of a compressed video signal is adjusted in a delay time adjuster.
