Disclosed is a CCD camera for computer interface. The camera comprises a synchronizing signal generator, a CCD image signal generator and an operational circuit. The synchronizing signal generator generates a synchronizing signal for a camera according to a synchronizing signal from the computer. According to the synchronizing signal from the synchronizing signal generator, the CCD image signal generator generates an image signal for the camera whose phase is synchronized with the video signal. The operational circuit synthesizes two image signals from the CCD image signal generator and the video signal generator in the computer, according to thecontrol command from a controller in the computer. Thereby, images from the computer and the CCD camera are synthesized so that the CCD camera can be directly connected to the computer.
