The servo system is used by a 4 mm VTR and a digital audio tape driver integrated inone body. The servo system includes a function selection switch (10) for selecting operation modes and functions of a DAT and a VTR, a reference frequency generator (30) for generating reference data of a DAT and a VCR according to servo data transmitted from a microcomputer (20), a controller (40) for generating motor drive signal according to the modes and the function selected by function keys and comparing frequency generated by rotation of a motor with reference frequency to generate error correction signal (e), a gain adjuster (50) for adjusting servo gains, a switch (SW) for selecting a DAT servo unit or a VTR servounit and a frequency generator (90) for generating rotating frequency of the motor and transmitting to the controller (40).
