Summary: | A blood-sugar measuring paper was manufd. Semi-permeable polymer and a stabilizer mixed with 15% polyvinyl alcohol were added into the mixture for enzymatical measurement of blood-sugar containing glucose-oxidase, peroxidase and coloring materials, such as orthotolidine and bedadine. This solution was spread onto cellulose filter paper previously treated with 0.05% ethyl cellulose alcohol, and then dried to form a film on the surface of the paper. After treatment with 0.01% ethyl cellulose alcohol, it was dried again to give the blood-sugar measuring paper. By using this paper blood glucose was measured in the range of 0 to 800mg. |
