The purpose of the present invention is to increase the convenience of information utilization. The information provision system that operates in conjunction with a user's information and communication device comprises: a communication unit that receives an information provision request from the information and communication device and transmits useful information corresponding to the information provision request to the information and communication device; a useful information storage unit that stores the useful information; a member information storage unit that stores member information; and a control unit that performs operations necessary to provide the useful information to the information and communication device and controls the communication unit, the useful information storage unit, and the member information storage unit. The present invention has the effect of providing users of information and communication devices with useful information and benefits related to the information without any restrictions on the use of the information and communication devices. 본 발명은 정보통신기기를 통해 제공되는 정보제공서비스를 구현하기 위해 정보통신기기와 연계되어 기능하는 정보제공시스템에 관한 발명이다. 본 발명은 사용자의 정보통신기기와 연계되어 작동하는 정보제공시스템으로서 정보통신기기의 정보제공요청을 수신하고, 정보제공요청에 대응한 유용정보를 정보통신기기로 발신할 수 있도록 마련된 통신부; 유용정보를 저장하는 유용정보저장부; 회원정보를 저장하는 회원정보저장부; 및 유용정보를 정보통신기기에 제공하기 위해 필요한 연산을 수행하고 통신부, 유용정보저장부 및 회원정보저장부를 제어할 수 있도록 마련된 제어부;를 포함하고, 제어부는 정보제공시스템에 의해 구현되는 서비스(이하 '정보제공서비스'라 함)의 회원가입절차 및 회원정보저장부에 저장되는 회원정보를 관리하고, 통신부가 정보제공요청을 수신한 경우 회원정보저장부에 저장된 회원정보에 기초하여 정보제공요청에 대한 대응으로 유용정보저장부에서 정보통신기기에 제공될 유용정보를 선택하여 통신부로 하여금 정보통신기기에 송신하도록 제어하고, 회원정보는 사용자의 신상정보 및 관심정보 중 적어도 어느 하나를 포함하고, 정보통신기기는 정보제공시스템과 연계되기 위해 정보통신기기를 조작하는 어플리케이션(이하 '서비스 어플리케이션')을 구동하고, 서비스 어플리케이션은 정보통신기기에 특정 이벤트가 발생한 경우 정보통신기기로 하여금 정보제공시스템에 정보제공요청을 발신하도록 하고, 정보통신기기가 정보제공시스템으로부터 선택된 유용정보를 제공받은 경우 정보통신기기로 하여금 제공받은 유용정보를 출력하도록 하는 정보제공시스템을 제공한다.
