Abstract A display driver comprises a driver circuit and a detection controller. The driver circuit is configured so as to drive a display panel according to display information. The display panel defines a detection area. A detection controller interface circuit is configured so as to transmit an output vertical synchronizing signal to a proximity detection controller. The proximity detection controller is configured so as to generate position information of an input object based at least in part on a result signal received from a sensor electrode disposed in the detection area.
