The present invention relates to image pre-processing based on document quality. In particular, the present invention relates to the image pre-processing based on the document quality in which the quality of input document images to be analyzed is measured for each item such that for the input document images classified by quality, all or part of a pre-processing process may be omitted for the images classified as high quality, or for the document images of medium quality or low quality, an image pre-processing process to which an appropriate algorithm is applied may be performed to reduce unnecessary calculations, reduce processing time, and achieve a higher character recognition rate than the uniformly applied image pre-processing process. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an image pre-processing method based on the document quality comprises the steps of: measuring, by an image pre-processing device, the document quality of the input document images; classifying the document quality; and performing image pre-processing corresponding to the classified document quality on the document images. 본 발명은 문서 품질에 기반한 이미지 전처리에 관한 것이다. 특히, 본 발명은 분석하고자 하는 입력 문서 이미지의 품질을 항목별로 측정하여 품질 별로 분류된 입력 문서 이미지에 대해 고 품질로 분류되는 이미지에 대해서는 전처리 과정 중 전부 또는 일부를 생략하거나, 중 품질 또는 저 품질의 문서 이미지인 경우에는 적절한 알고리즘이 적용된 이미지 전처리 과정이 수행될 수 있도록 하여, 불필요한 연산을 절감하여 처리 시간을 절감할 수 있고, 획일적으로 적용된 이미지 전처리 과정에 비해 높은 문자 인식률을 얻을 수 있는, 문서 품질에 기반한 이미지 전처리에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 문서 품질에 기반한 이미지 전처리 방법은, 이미지 전처리 장치가, 입력되는 문서 이미지의 문서 품질을 측정하는 단계; 상기 문서 품질을 분류하는 단계; 및 상기 문서 이미지에 대해 상기 분류된 문서 품질에 대응하는 이미지 전처리를 수행하는 단계를 포함한다.
