Disclosed is a sulfur-containing polymer which comprises an elemental sulfur (S) monomer and an aromatic organic monomer represented by chemical formula 1. The sulfur-containing polymer can be used in optical materials imparted with an infrared transmission function by utilizing excellent heat resistance resulting from phase separation behavior and excellent infrared transmittance of sulfur and aromatic organic monomers. 원소 황(Elemental sulfur, S) 단량체; 및 화학식 1로 표시되는 방향족 유기 단량체;를 포함하는 황 함유 고분자가 개시된다. 상기 황 함유 고분자는 상분리 거동으로 인한 우수한 내열성, 그리고 황과 방향족 유기 단량체의 우수한 적외선 투과도를 이용하여 적외선 투과기능을 부여한 광학 소재에 활용될 수 있다.
