The present invention provides an aerosol generating system for an electrically heated smoking article, enabling to inhale a similar number of times as one conventional cigarette and thus discarded after being used once, the system comprising: a smoking article; and an aerosol generating device in a grippable and portable size. The smoking article includes: a filter; and a cartridge provided upstream of the filter. The cartridge includes: a moisture absorber accommodating liquid and/or gel-like aerosol-generating substrates in an amount of 0.13 to 0.32 mg/mm^3 per unit volume while absorbing moisture; and wrapping paper which is wrapped around the side surface of a gel-receiving body, wherein the wrapping paper is formed by attaching aluminum foil to paper, and the moisture absorber is wrapped in a cylindrical shape so that the aluminum foil contacts the moisture absorber. The filter and the cartridge are wrapped in separate wrapping paper. The aerosol generating device includes: a heater provided within the device to heat the exterior of the smoking article while the cartridge of the smoking article is inserted into a cavity to generate an aerosol from the cartridge so that the aerosol can be inhaled by a user through the filter; a rechargeable battery provided within the device and functioning as a direct current power source; and a control unit that is provided to be electrically connected to the heater in the device and receives DC power from the battery to control the heater. 본 발명은 종래의 궐련 담배 1개비와 비슷한 횟수의 흡입 행위를 할 수 있어서 1회 사용된 후에 버려지는, 전기 가열식 흡연 물품을 위한 에어로졸 발생 시스템으로, 필터와; 필터에 대해 상류쪽에 제공되며 액상 및/또는 겔상 에어로졸 발생기질을 단위 부피당 0.13 내지 0.32 mg/mm3의 양으로 흡습한 채로 수용하는 흡습체와, 흡습체의 측면을 랩핑하되 알루미늄 포일이 종이에 부착되어 형성되며 알루미늄 포일이 흡습체에 접촉하도록 흡습체를 실린더 형상으로 랩핑하는 랩핑 페이퍼로 이루어지는 카트리지;를 포함하되, 필터 및 카트리지는 별개의 랩핑 페이퍼로 랩핑되는 흡연 물품, 및 흡연 물품의 카트리지를 공동에 삽입한 채로 흡연 물품의 외부를 가열하여 카트리지로부터 에어로졸을 발생시켜 필터를 통해 사용자가 에어로졸을 흡입할 수 있도록, 장치 내에 제공되는 히터와, 장치 내에 제공되어 직류 전원으로 기능하는 재충전 가능한 배터리와, 장치 내에 히터와 전기적으로 연결되도록 제공되어 배터리로부터 직류 전원을 공급받아 히터를 제어하는 제어부로 이루어지는, 파지 가능하고 휴대 가능한 크기의 에어로졸 발생 장치를 포함하는 에어로졸 발생 시스템을 제공한다.
