Summary:An aerosol generating device according to one aspect comprises: a heating element for heating an aerosol generating material; a battery for supplying power to the heating element and receiving power from an external device; an output unit; and a processor, wherein the processor controls the output unit to output notification indicating whether the aerosol generating device can be used within a predetermined time interval from a first point in time when the supply of the power from the battery to the heating element is stopped or from a second point in time related to the supply of the power to the battery from an external device. 일 측면에 따른 에어로졸 생성 장치는, 에어로졸 생성 물질을 가열하는 가열 요소; 상기 가열 요소에 전력을 공급하고, 외부 장치로부터 전력을 수신하는 배터리; 출력부; 및 프로세서;를 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는, 상기 배터리로부터 상기 가열 요소로의 전력의 공급이 중단된 제1 시점 또는 상기 외부 장치로부터 상기 배터리로의 전력의 공급과 관련된 제2 시점으로부터 소정의 시구간 내에 상기 에어로졸 생성 장치의 사용 가능 여부를 나타내는 알림(notification)을 출력하도록 상기 출력부를 제어한다.
