The present invention relates to a method for preparing a whitening composition using Camellia japonica flowers and Camellia japonica leaves. The whitening composition prepared using Camellia japonica flowers and Camellia japonica leaves according to the present invention can provide antioxidant and whitening effects equivalent to those of a composition prepared only from young Camellia japonica leaves, and yet provides skin astringent effects of Camellia japonica flowers as well.
